Study, Lost in the Moment Orange I head to the Great

I head to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park near our home in east Tennessee

and I paused a bit before answering with the first thing that popped into my mind

I have to grudgingly admit that it was well worth the effort

I was seated in front of the brass section and {{ BOOM }} when they hit the note

and the dramatic cloud formation set a perfect mood

Fall is one of my favorite seasons (just behind winter!) because of its bold color and crisp, clear skies to highlight the brilliant foliage. This painting is the initial study for a larger painting, Lost in the Moment.
